Separate convenience from official reimbursement
A tote rental may be useful for organizing a local move, but customers should confirm any reimbursement, allowance or moving-material rule with the appropriate transportation or administrative office. The rental service does not promise government reimbursement or military endorsement.
Confirm commercial access
Vendor delivery access can be different from a customer’s personal installation access. If a delivery or collection address is on the installation, flag that in the request so the operating requirements can be checked before the reservation is confirmed.
Plan for one-way moves
A local rental model works best when the totes remain returnable within the service footprint. Long-distance PCS moves that leave the area may be better served by purchased containers or another packing system.
Keep essential items separate
Use a clearly marked first-night group for documents, uniforms, medication, chargers, toiletries and other items you need immediately. Do not put irreplaceable documents into a tote that will disappear into a moving truck.
